Meet the Owner

GARTH WESSEL
Garth has been tattooing for nearly two decades and still continues to learn and grow every day. He started tattooing at the age of 18 and apprenticed under Tony Wilson of Shrunken Head Tattoos in South Dakota. He worked with Tony for over 10 years before opening Sagebrush Tattoo in Laramie, Wyoming, where his wife Sienna attended college and later became the lead Botanist for WYNDD at the university. Garth enjoys doing many different styles of tattooing and accepts a large variety of projects, though his favorite things to do are nature based images in his own style, which is something of a mix of realistic, illustrative, and neo-traditional. When not tattooing, Garth likes dabbling in other forms of art and craft, hiking, camping, nature photography, studying nature, researching ancient cultures, reading, and music.
